Test SessionsThe Marquette Figure Skating Club (MFSC) offers several U.S. Figure Skating proficiency testing sessions throughout the winter and summer season. In order to test, a skater must be a member of U.S. Figure Skating, be a current member in good standing of their home club, provide a letter of permission from their home club, pay the appropriate fees, and have the recommendation of their coach. Skaters testing dance tests will be required to take at least one dance lesson from the designated MFSC partner. Test sessions at MFSC are typically offered in December (Low), January (High), and February (All Levels) in conjunction with the Ron Carlson Marquette International Open Competition, and during summer school. In summer, we typically offer 2 sessions - one after the first 2 weeks of summer and the second at the conclusion of summer school. (See Summer School) Current testing dates may found on the Calendar section of the website. Test applications are available from the MFSC test chairperson or may be taken off this website. Testing fees are based on ice costs, partner travel fees, and judge's expenses, which include travel, lodging and meals. U.S. Figure Skating judges are volunteers and are not paid a fee or stipend. Partner fees are the fees charged by the dance partner to take the skater through the test and are separate from test fees. Please note the due date on the application; this will be strictly adhered to.
